We take your requirements and produce a unique product to suit your home.

How we workCustom made furniture

Woodhouse Home and Garden was built around the idea that every home has it’s own unique spaces. These spaces can be utilised with furniture, to create additional storage, seating and dining areas.

However, your typical store bought furniture tends to be made to mass produced set sizes, which aren’t always suitable for your home or garden.

This is where we come in. We offer all our products to be customised to suit your size requirements. We can also try our best to colour match your existing furniture colour scheme.

Have a look below at the steps and decisions you may need to consider, when it comes to purchasing one of our home and garden products.

Step 1.Browse our shop

Start by browsing our shop to find a product that you'd like.

If you can't find anything that you'd like in our shop, we can still quote you for any bespoke products. Simply contact us with a description and any pictures of your ideas, so we can provide a quote for you.

Step 2.Measure your available space

Now you've found the right product, you'll need to measure up the area where your product will go. We'll need to know the length, height and depth so we can build your product to suit the available space in your home.

You'll need to consider what the maximum length of your product should be, based on how much room you have either side of where it'll go.

The depth of your product is another important measurement too. For example, for our shelving or shoe racks, the depth will determine how much space they'll be for storage on each shelf.

Also check to see if there are any height limits or obstructions in the space where your product will go.

Step 3.Choose your colour

Now you'll need to decide on the colour of your product. We offer a range of different colour finishes for your product, to match your home. We currently offer:

Natural pine
Light oak stain
Medium oak stain
Dark oak stain
White washed effect
Grey washed effect

We try our best to colour match our products to your existing furniture. You can send us pictures of your existing furniture so we can offer you the best choice.

Step 4.Contact us

Contact us and let us know what measurements and colour finish you require for your product. We'll come back to you as soon as we can with a price for your product.

You can get in touch by phone, email, Facebook messenger or by visiting our workshop.

Step 5.Payment

Once we've got back to you with a price and you're happy to go ahead, you'll have to pay for your custom product. You can either pay for your order all upfront or you can pay a 50% deposit with the following 50% due on day of delivery/dispatch.

We will send you an invoice with your order details, along with payment details. We accept PayPal or bank transfer as our main payment methods.

Step 6.Await delivery

After we've received payment, we will start ordering in the materials straightaway so we can begin on building your product.

Whilst the average processing time, from start to delivery, is normally only around 3-4 weeks, there could be a processing time of anywhere between 1-8 weeks, depending on the size of your order and how busy we are at the time.

You can enquire into how long your order is likely to take at the time of ordering, as times can vary depending on the time of year.

All of our products are sent flat packed, due to a few reasons. One main reason is larger, heavier items tend to sustain more damage during transit with the couriers.

Whilst we're on the subject of couriers, they also make it very expensive to send large, heavy items, so we flat pack every item by design, including any bespoke items, so we can save on courier costs. This in turn means we don't have to charge you for much postage and packaging charges.

We design our products to be customisable and also easy to assemble. Every product is already assembled once before we package it, so we know it's tried and tested. You'll see the screw holes on your product from where we've already built it.

You'll need to use your screwdriver and any screw bits required for assembly but apart from that, any screws, fixings or pre-drilled holes needed for the assembly of your product will be provided by us as part of the product.

We also have assembly guides in our blog area, to assist you with the assembly if needed. If you're struggling in any way, you can call or email us and we'll guide you as best we can.
